Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

• Account details: your email address and name. If you sign in with a password, it is stored in a protected, hashed form by Supabase, our sign-in provider.
• Your content: the topics, notes, scripts, and links you paste in, the carousels and captions you make, your brand kits, voice examples, and files you upload, like a headshot or logo.
• Your edits: changes you make to AI-written text, so the AI can learn your voice.
• Payment details: handled by Stripe. We see your plan and billing status, but never your full card number.
• Connected social accounts: if you connect accounts for posting, we store which accounts you connected and the posts you schedule. The connection itself is managed by Bundle.social.
• Usage data: which features you use and how many credits you spend.
• Technical data: IP address, browser type, device details, and cookies.

2. How we use it

• To run SocialSlides and make your carousels.
• To match your writing voice and brand.
• To handle payments, credits, and subscriptions.
• To post or schedule content when you ask us to.
• To send important emails about your account.
• To fix bugs, improve features, and understand what people use.
• To keep the Service safe and stop fraud and abuse.

3. AI and your data

When you make a carousel, we send what you typed or pasted, your brand voice details, and your slide text to AI providers through Vercel AI Gateway. We use Anthropic's Claude models for writing and Perplexity for optional live web research. When you ask for an AI image, we send the image prompt to Kie.ai. If you paste a link, we fetch that page so the AI can read it.

We use your past posts and edits only to help the AI write for your own account. We do not use your content to train AI models. Each AI provider handles data under its own terms and privacy policy.

4. Who we share data with

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the services that help us run SocialSlides:

• Supabase: Accounts, sign-in, database, and file storage (like your headshot, logo, and images).
• Vercel: Hosting for the website and app.
• Stripe: Payments and subscriptions.
• Vercel AI Gateway, Anthropic (Claude), and Perplexity: AI writing, rewrites, ideas, and optional live web research.
• Kie.ai: Making AI images when you ask for one.
• Bundle.social: Posting and scheduling to the social accounts you connect.
• Email delivery services: Sending sign-in links and important account emails.

We may also share data if the law requires it, to protect people's rights and safety, or as part of a merger, sale, or similar business change.

5. Keeping your data safe

We use encryption in transit, access controls, and trusted providers to protect your data. Your content stays private to your account unless you choose to post or share it. No system is 100% secure, but we work hard to keep your data safe.

6. Your rights and choices

You can ask us to:

• Show you the personal data we have about you.
• Fix data that is wrong.
• Delete your account and your data.
• Give you a copy of your content.
• Stop sending you marketing emails.

You can download your carousels from the app at any time. For anything else on this list, email us at liz@lizontheweb.com. Depending on where you live, you may have more rights under laws like the GDPR or CCPA, and we will honor them.

7. Cookies

We use cookies and similar browser storage to keep you signed in, keep your session secure, and remember settings like light or dark mode. You can block cookies in your browser, but you will not be able to sign in without them.

8. How long we keep data

We keep your data while your account is open. When you delete your account, we delete your content from our systems. We may keep some records longer when the law requires it or to prevent fraud, like payment and tax records.

9. Where data is stored

Our providers may store and process data in the United States and other countries. By using SocialSlides, you understand your data may be moved to those places.

10. Children

SocialSlides is not for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you think a child has given us data, email us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make big changes, we will tell you by email or in the app.
